WASHINGTON (Ticker) - The surging Florida Panthers will look tocontinue their dominance of the league's worst team on Wednesdaywhen they visit the Washington Capitals.


Florida has beaten its Southeast Division rival in six of sevenmeetings, including two victories this season. In their mostrecent matchup, Olli Jokinen scored a pair of goals to lead thePanthers to a 4-3 triumph on November 18.


Jokinen, whose shootout tally lifted Florida to a 3-2 victoryover the New York Rangers on Friday, leads the Panthers with 11goals and 24 points.


The Capitals will try to bounce back from their first loss sinceBruce Boudreau took over as interim coach last week.Washington defeated the Philadelphia Flyers and CarolinaHurricanes in Boudreau's first two games, but suffered a 3-1setback to the Buffalo Sabres on Monday.


Alex Ovechkin, who is currently on a nine-game point streak, hasbeen the Capitals' best offensive weapon with 17 of the club's57 goals. He has three goals over the past two games forWashington, which has the worst record in the NHL.
