MIAMI (Ticker) - The first-place Chicago Cubs will be lookingfor their fifth straight win when they take on the FloridaMarlins in the first game of a three-game series on Tuesday.

The Cubs, who have won 10 of their past 12 games, lead theMilwaukee Brewers (80-76) by three games in the National LeagueCentral with just six games to play.


Chicago, which is aiming for their first postseason appearancesince 2003, has a magic number of four.


Ted Lilly (15-7, 3.78 ERA) takes the mound for Chicago. Lillyhas not lost since August 25, and with a victory can set a newpersonal career high for wins in a season. The lefthander iscoming off a no-decision on Wednesday in which he allowed tworuns in seven innings with eight strikeouts against Cincinnati.However, Lilly has gone 0-3 with a 5.16 ERA in four careerstarts against the Marlins.


While Lilly has had a stellar season, his opposition, DontrelleWillis is having a year to forget. Willis (9-15, 5.32) issuffering through the worst season of his five-year career. Thelefthander has just two wins in his last 21 starts, just twoyears removed from winning 22 games in 2005. The 25-year-oldallowed three runs in six innings in a no-decision against theMets on Thursday. Willis is 3-3 in eight career starts againstthe Cubs.


The Marlins have lost seven of their last eight games, but sweptthe Cubs in a three-game series at Chicago from May 28-30.
