Pelfrey (0-6, 6.11 ERA) won the first two starts of his careerlast season, but since then is 0-7 with a 6.50 ERA in nineoutings. The ninth pick of the 2005 draft, Pelfrey allowed three runs -two earned - and four hits in five innings against thePhiladelphia Phillies on Sunday in his first start sincespending six weeks in Class AAA New Orleans. Carlos Delgado may be able to help Pelfrey's cause. Delgado ishitting .477 (21-for-44) with six home runs and 14 RBI in 14career games vs. the Astros. On Thursday, the slugger went 4-for-4 and Ramon Castro drove intwo runs in place of the suspended Paul Lo Duca as the Metssnapped a four-game losing streak with a 6-2 win. Houston, which has lost two straight after winning five of six,sends Wandy Rodriguez (5-7, 4.23) to the hill.
