I made this for the sixers forum but I guess I'll just post it up here too.
Philadelphia 76ers(3-0) at Toronto Raptors(1-2) Air Canada Center, Toronto, Canada Wednesday, Nov. 8rd 7:00pm E.T. TJ Ford 15.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 7.7apg Ford has the tough task tonight of containing Iverson. He is definately quick enough to gaurd AI, but can he stop the man from scoring? If Ford can keep Iverson working tonight, then the Raptors have a good chance of winning. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/anthony_parker.jpg[/imgl]SG ? Anthony Parker 14.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.7apg The Euroleague MVP has shown promise for this Raptors team. He can play solid D, he makes smart decisions and he doesnt force the offense at all. Look for Parker to have a solid game tonight, but he'll have his troubles with guys like Iguodala on his tail. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/morris_peterson.jpg[/imgl]SF ? Morris Peterson 13.3ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.7apg If Mo'pete wants to make the all-star team, he'll have to start working his butt off. The matchups are kind of mixed up for tonights game so it's a question mark on who he'll be gaurding. Regardless of if he gets Iguodala or Ollie, Morris Peterson will have to start contributing more. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/rasho_nesterovic.jpg[/imgl]C ? Rasho Nesterovic 5.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.0apg Rasho is a key part of the defense. He'll have to work well with Bosh on switches against the likes of Webber and Dalambert. Rasho will have a tough time in the paint against Dalambert. If the Raptors want to win this game Rasho will have to be strong and box Dalambert out for the rebounds. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/chris_bosh.jpg[/imgl]PF ? Chris Bosh 19.7ppg, 12.3rpg, 0.7apg Bosh is coming off two monstorous games. He's been an absolute beast on the boards while still managing to score. Bosh has the undeniable advantage against the slow and aging Webber. Bosh needs to keep fighting on the boards while being aggressive on the offensive end. Interior D: The Raptors gave up too many easy baskets for Parker against the Spurs. If they want to succeed they will need to tighten up inside and prevent both AI's from driving in for easy baskets. Rebound: The Raptors finally have players that can actually rebound. With Bosh coming off monstorous rebounding games, they'll need to take advantage of it. They've shown that if they rebound alot after misses that they can build a good lead. [/div]
Philadelphia 76ers

[imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/kevin_ollie.jpg[/imgl]PG ? Kevin Ollie 4.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.0apg Though he might not be the best point gaurd in the league, he's all the Sixers have. He's the best option right now for the Sixers at the point. Ollie will have to use his veteran knowledge to run the offense in a simply manner. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/allen_iverson.jpg[/imgl]SG ? Allen Iverson 34.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 9.7apg Another year, and you'd think he'd slow down. At the age of 31 Iverson is getting better if anything. With the talk of Iverson playing more of an assisting role he has shown that he can do that AND still be a lethal scoring option. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/andre_iguodala.jpg[/imgl]SF - Andre Iguodala 15.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.0apg Iguodala has shown the NBA that he wants to be more aggressive. In his first 3 games Iggy has shown that he can be a reliable 2nd/3rd option on the team. Iguodala will have to step up again and be aggressive on Parker tonight. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/samuel_dalembert.jpg[/imgl]C ? Samuel Dalembert 8.3ppg, 7.7rpg, 0.3apg Dalambert has been playing solid ball, with the same stats as last year. But we all know Dalambert has the potential to do so much more. Dalambert will be matched up against Nesterovic tonight and he will need to box out the big man and fight for the boards. [imgl]http://www.nba.com/media/playerfile/chris_webber.jpg[/imgl]PF ? Chris Webber 9.7ppg, 10.3rpg, 2.7apg Another year in his belt and another year wiser. Webber has shown this year that he doesn't need to score to contribute to his team. He knows that for his team to succeed he'll have to give guys like Iguodala more touches. Get Iggy Involved: If Iguodala really wants to break out this season, he'll have to be aggressive and score. The Sixers need to get the ball to Iggy when hes open, and he'll need to be aggressive and constantly attack the Raptors interior D. Transition D: If the Raptors get running early they could start a big lead. The Sixers need to run back, hard on D to keep up with the Raptors running crew. If they keep turnovers to a minimum and keep up with the Raptors on the fast break, the Sixers will prevail.
I predict a Sixers win. I think the Raptors will give them a tough time, but the Sixers will come out winning in the end. 106-100.

Raptors should win this game. They have had plenty of rest with an early game on sunday with off days on monday & tuesday. Philly is coming off a physical road game against the pacers lastnight and they have to travel to toronto. Iverson played 40 minutes lastnight so hopefully he is a little worn down for tonights game. IMO could be a really nice week for the raptors playing Philly, Atlanta, Sacramento, & Golden State with rest days in between every game. Would really like to see them to take 3 out of 4. These are all beatable team... i know its early in the season but there upcoming games could provide a realistic glimpse of the raptors playoff chances. The Vegas lins has the raptors favoured by 3.... I would expect them to cover the spread. Final score Raptors 112 - 106 over sixers
Iggy has his two favourite teams playing tonight. I didn't realise Webber's scoring had dropped from 19 ppg to 10 ppg so far this season.

Quote:

Iverson played 40 minutes lastnight so hopefully he is a little worn down for tonights game.
i dont think Iverson is ever worn down no matter how much he plays. Iverson will most likely come back with a 40+point game after last nights dissapointing loss, and this SHOULD be a very easy win for the sixers.
Quote:

iguodala looks like fat albert in that picture and raps win 105-93
I cant wait until "fat albert" posterizes bosh or nesterovich.
I'll say one thing, Philly has been playing quite well, and Kyle Korver loves the new ball. If we don't defend, a hit Philly could take this game from us. Iverson can destroy our guards, and if we let Korver get 25 or so like he's been getting lately, we're not going to win. Seriously though, Bosh should score like 40 in this game.
^ I wish I had your optimism. I think its about time that he steps it up a little, though. Even when he's not as assertive as you want him to be, he's still played better than he's shown recently.
Its hard for me to cheer for a team but I think I'll have to cheer for the Raptors since they need this win more. Bosh is going to have a HUGE game.

Yea, this has all the makings of a blowout Raps win if they maintain their defensive intensity and get their act together on offense. TJ's doing everything but setting up his teammates and Bosh has been cold ever since he got subbed out.
c webb needs to shave off his moustache. and i'm all for the up tempo offense, although getting good shots shouldn't be undermined by it.
