A victory against one of the league's powers would go a long way toward reaching that goal. The Spurs will have the advantage because they've played with eachother for so many years while the Raptors are still learning to mesh together. I see the Spurs win this one by 8.[/B]. Sorry guys, I rushed this one with like 30 minutes til' the game so yeah.
Beautiful pass by TJ Ford to Bargnani, it went through 2 spurs defenders into Bargnani's hands and Bargnani gets the and 1. Its Toronto 23, San Antonio 14. With 1 min left in the 1st quarter. 1st appearance of Bonner in the game, good 'ol Red Rocket. Bargnani makes a decent post play. Bonner misses a 3.
Wow Brent Barry jumps out of bounds to save the ball in mid-air to pass it to a spurs teammate about at the half court, Calderon runs at full pace right along the out of bounds line and intercepts it, and then dishes it to Mo Pete on the fast break for the AND 1. -Nice layup by Fred Jones, splitting a couple of spurs and then a scoop like layup. -Oberto is being a factor for the Spurs. -Duncan has made his last 2 shots. -Barry has been hitting his 3pt shots (4/4 3FG) Spurs 41, Raps 40 with a little over 3 min left in the 2nd quarter.
Bosh has been doing great on the boards lately. I've also been impressed with Garbajosa and Bargnani this game.
<div class="quote_poster">Swish15 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Bosh already has 10 rebounds in the second quarter. That's very Dwight Howardesque. </div> Toronto needs Dwight , so we can have two guys with 10 rebounds before the half. Dwight would have 7 offensive boards. Spurs 49, Raps 46 Bonner misses a 3 right before the half.
What sucks is that Ford can't even guard the points who use their speed. It looked like he was chasing parkers tail the entire time, and couldn't stay in front of him. Given, Parker is one of the fastest guys in the game, but so is T.J. All in all it was a good game, though I wished Matt would have come out and had a spectacular game...instead of...well...
Fred Jones pissed me off today, he kept forcing the offense and taking dumb shots. But wow, awesome game for Bosh getting 19 points and 17 rebounds!
Duncan killed us. They couldn't push out of the block and he was automatic from there. Their whole offense revolved around him. Good game by Bargnani, though. Glad to see he got some trust from Mitchell.
Yea Duncan was pretty difficult for the Raps to handle. Samuel L Jackson was in the crowd I think. Parker is probably a top 3 guard for speed-wise and is probably the best layup guard in the league, but he did miss some layups when Bosh, Garbajosa or Rasho helped out. Though that often opened up Duncan to get the board and the garbage points. Its hard to stop Parker and contain Duncan.
