But make no mistake, this team really needs his defensive presence against contending teams like Los Angeles. It'll be interesting to see if he at least allows us to make a game of it. That's about all I got guys. My brain is fried after a late Saturday night and an intense football game today in the middle of a snowstorm. It might be too much to ask for a win tonight, but I'm looking for some effort and intensity in this game. If we can make a game out of this, I'll be satisfied and optimistic about our chances on this road trip.
STARTING LINEUPS

Jose Calderon - Anthony Parker - Andrea Bargnani - Chris Bosh - Jermaine O'Neal Derek Fisher - Kobe Bryant - Vladimir Radmanovic - Pau Gasol - Andrew Bynum

KEY MATCHUP

Anthony Parker vs. Kobe Bryant
Some of you might not know this because Lakers fans are just so modest when it comes to their favourite team, but this Kobe Bryant fellow is quite the basketball player. While he's coming off a strong defensive effort against Joe Johnson, Anthony Parker really doesn't stand much of a chance against Bryant. Instead, I highlighted this matchup mainly to point out how much of a team effort it will take to prevent him from taking this game over. On the other side of the floor, the Raptors really really need AP to have his shot going. He doesn't have to match Bryant's offensive output, but if he's consistently hitting the 3 it really does space the floor for our bigs.
LEO RAUTINS' INSIGHTFUL THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Man, the raps are falling apart. No one is blocking out or anything. Hump is, as usual, a vortex on offense.
