<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Trying to block an Al Jefferson dunk with about 4 1/2 minutes remaining in the game, Raptors rookie Jorge Garbajosa landed awkwardly on his left leg and it snapped. He remained prone on the court with his foot twisted out at a right angle to his leg, one of the ugliest injuries a Raptor has ever suffered, as his teammates and the Celtics recoiled in horror. Jefferson put up his hands and couldn't bear to look.Garbajosa was in obvious agony when he was wheeled off the court on a stretcher."I really thought he broke his leg," said Jefferson, who landed on Garbajosa as he completed the contested dunk. "When that happened, the first thing that came into my head was, `Why did he jump? Just let me go.'"They need him for the playoffs, but he's a hard-working player and he's going to try and challenge every shot. I respect him for that. I know we bumped, my leg hit his leg and I looked down and he was just twisted up. He was screaming and I could feel his pain."All team officials could say late last night was that Garbajosa, the 29-year-old Spanish rookie who has been such an integral part of Toronto's success this season, was at New England Baptist Hospital being examined by one of the Celtics' team physicians. But there is no doubt the injury is a bad one, a season-ending one."My prayers are with him," Chris Bosh said of Garbajosa. "I hope he's okay."</div>I saw the injury. His Ankle looked F*cked up. Hopefully he can get to playable health by the playoffs, for the Raptors sake.
http://www.bballworld.us/forum/index.php?s...showtopic=26651I know you didn't know because the name doesn't say it all and there wasn't a thread in the Raptors section yet. But there was a discussion already going on so...
Looks like he will be having surgery today:http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Basketball/NBA/T...3845080-cp.htmlThey said he's likely to miss rest of the season. Man, this sucks
That's brutal man...I saw it in the gameHe was HUGE for the Raps..had a great rookie yearHe's old but who cares haha he has a bright futureI think Al Jefferson's reaction explained how bad it was
Jesus F*ck it looked back. I've never seena player scream in pain the way he did....It is probably a season ending surgery, which is terrible news because he is a guy that will go out and work hard, get steals, do the things to make us win....He is a decent player, and I hope this doesn't screw up his career.
Yeah the Raptors will really miss his pressance in the playoffs, look what he did for the Spanish national team when Gasol went down!! Garbo took over and ending up winning the championship for Spain along with MVP honors if im not mistaken. Anyways I hope he is ready to go once we open our pre-season camp because honestly the time table for his return is still up in the air.

His season is over, even if you make it to the finals.
I saw this on NBA Daily...Al Jeffersons face really does sum it up. I wasnt listening that much(half-asleep) and I thought they were saying Jefferson tweaked his ankle(he limped a couple steps), then they played it again and I heard it and saw Garbs....man that looked bad.
That was nasty. Hope he's going to be okay. But this sucks for the raptors. Near the ending of the season we go down with a few injuries. I guess the bad luck of injuries is coming back again.
HES OUT FOR 6 F*CKING MONTHS. You've got to be kidding me. That could possibly trail into next year. He has to be rehabbing for at least 3-5 months dammit. It literally popped out the other side I heard.
This sucks because it was on a completely pointless play, and now we are screwed because we have NO big man depth.

Bosh will completely have to take over games if we want to get passed the first round.
Okay....we've got Kris humphries to back up Chris Bosh and Rasho Nesterovic. We are f*cking screwed.Bosh will just have to play 40 minute games, and Rasho and Kris will also have to play much more minutes then they're accustomed to. It's the only solution. Unless we can get Pape back, or if we can sign a big man to a 10 day, that kind of thing.
