<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Liverpool midfielder Luis Garcia is on the verge of re-signing for Atletico Madrid, according to his agent.

"We are working on Luis Garcia's permanent transfer to Atletico de Madrid," the 29-year-old's agent Manuel Garcia Quillon told PA Sport.

"If all goes well, the deal should be completed either today or tomorrow."

Atletico are also negotiating with Liverpool over the sale of forward Fernando Torres, who could be making a switch to the Anfield club for ?26.5m.

Garcia joined Liverpool from Barcelona in 2004 and helped the Reds win the Champions League but has been out injured since January this year.

The Spain international has played 121 games for Liverpool, scoring 30 goals.

That sucks, Luis Garcia was a class player and I liked watching him play for Liverpool, he was one of my favourite players that doesn't play for Boro. He'll do well at Atletico though, even without Fernando Torres there to score some goals for them.

Arrgggh!!! i soo in don't want Garcia to go but he performs to the best of his abillity in the champs league then has a mediocre prem season dont get me wrong he has had some good performances in some prem games, i would like for him to stay imho every season he has improved a little in the prem, but if he does eventually go then i will be sad, but wish him the best of luck at athletico madrid!
