Daily Herald Some preseason lessons don?t involve putting the ball in the basket or stopping an opponent. On Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Bulls center Tyson Chandler got to see what happens when he makes Kevin Garnett mad. Chandler and Garnett engaged in a trash-talking derby during the first half of the Timberwolves? 97-89 win at the United Center. In the third quarter, Garnett decided it was time to take the young guy to town and scored on three straight trips ? using three different moves ? before coach Scott Skiles removed Chandler from the game. ?He was talking a little bit,? Garnett said. ?Chandler, I know he?s a nice, soft dude. He came out like he ? I don?t know, he was a different dude. All of a sudden he?s gangster. He?s talking reckless. I don?t understand that part of it. He got quiet real quick, you know.? Anyone whose seen the Bulls play knows Chandler is an exuberant player who usually puts his emotions on display. This was just business as usual in his eyes. ?We were going at each other, but that happens all the time,? Chandler said. ?Every time we face each other, it ends up happening. It?s not like it?s a planned thing. Tempers always seem to flare a little bit.? Source
Chandler needs to recoznize who Garnett is and pick the right battles. Going at Garnett like that is weak. And he got tooled.
MUHAHAHAHA.....Tyson needs to go at someone on his level..........perhaps let's say a Maurice Taylor....LOL.
Most successful player that plays Garnett is Tim Duncan... who usually doesn't engage in trash talking. Obviously its fuel for Garnett.
