Ha? We don't have any caproom this summer, check at http://www.hoopshype.com/salaries/minnesota.htm the salaries for next season and you'll see that we're about to have a payroll as high as 46 million already and that's only a bunch of players and also what the salary cap will be around for next season. So we can only sign new players with a salary exception, e.g. Mid-Level exception, Veteran exception,... And I doubt that any of them is enough for Ray who I think will demand a maximum contract to begin with.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Paulijacks:</div><div class="quote_post">For those of you who think a new GM would trade kg.....what would be fair value????</div>

well, he can play all 5 positions on the floor, and he's pretty good at it, so id say fair value would be a pretty good player at every position

garnett for - tony parker, mike finley, bobby simmons, kenyon martin, eddy curry

    that seems fair [IMG]

I like the idea of trade KG for tony parker(spurs), mike finley(mavs), bobby simmons(clippers), kenyon martin(nuggets), and eddy curry(bulls)

but which team would KG end up playing for?

It won't happen. First off I think Kevin Garnett is one of the last ego's in the NBA that would demand a trade. Instead of getting rowled up about a dissapointing season, why not finish the season playing hard and look to keep rebuilding around Garnett. I know thats tough to say to a team who have been a playoff contender every season for a while, but it happends to every NBA franchise at one point in time so it seems to me as if the TimberWolves should just start over by going after young talent.

The question is will KG be willing to be in a rebuilding situation with the T Wolves? Maybe if not then... Garnett might seek a trade, but for some reason I doubt it will ever happen anytime soon.
