http://www.twincities.com/walters/ci_6391619 :no1: He gets my hopes high every offseason only to say he aint going anywhere I hope he has fun rotting in minny, he deserves it all. How on earth can you be alright in that type of situation?
Ugh, like 9/10 "reports" like this, it means absolutely nothing. No GM on the face of the earth is going to come out and publicly say "Yeah, we're shopping ____. We are looking to trade him." Nobody will say that.
Well, I think it's clear that Kevin Garnett does not care about winning a ring nearly as much as Iverson did. It will take a good 1-3 more years of the lottery before the Timberwolves assemble a solid team that can make the playoffs. By this time, I'm not sure that Garnett will continue to be able to put up 24/13. KG just wants to wind out the rest of his career where it started.
KG definatly cares about winning, and that's show by him crying All-Star weekend. I think KG is probably the most loyal player in the NBA. He wants to win, but he wants to win in Minnesota. Will he win in Minnesota? Probably not. But he wants to try his hardest. He just loves the city.
I don't see why it matters. Who ever said he wanted to be traded? He never did. It's not about that. It's about the Wolves getting into Rebuilding mode and moving KG to do it. They'll just ask him if he likes the destination he could be traded to and that's the only input he will have. I'm sure trade talks are not over.
I'm done with KG..At this point I really don't care what he does because it's just dumb for him to want to stay there and not want to go to LA. LA is the place that everyone (well just about everyone) has been wanting him to go so that he and Kobe could pair up and win a title together. But no he'd rather stay in Minnasota and lose for the rest of his career. Anothing thing that pissed me off is when he showed interest in Phenox. Why would they need him? There already a contender what about other teams in the league that need help. It's BS.

Their was also a rumor of him coming to the Cavs a couple days ago but I guess the Wolves are waiting to see how they do in the seaosn and trade him before the deadline if they are doing bad and get something for him rather then see him opt out of his contract and get nothing for him.
The sad thing about this is if it wasn't for Ainge and McHale being little Boston Celtic bitches.. the Lakers would have KG and be happy. Minny would have all that sh*t to build a future around. Indiana would be happy with LO and Bynum. and you THINK Ainge would be happy with a trio of JO - Pierce - Allen.Get the F*ck out of here Ainge. You are a JOKE.

The #5 pick was going to be included in the deal, which was the main ingrediant of the trade for Allen. Without that pick, I'm very doubtful they would have been able to pick him up.
Obviously hes gonna stay. What other way do you want this summer to go? Stars being traded and us having something to talk about or him staying and us doing nothing but sitting here bored out of our minds until Pre-Season starts in like 77 days or w/e. :\
I hope he stays and lets his contract run out then signs with LA. If he gets signs another contract with Minny though I really will be done with him.

But, if they start saving in money, then Kobe will get mad and demand a trade. All in all, I don't think the Lakers will have enough cap to sign Garnett and the only way they will aquire him is through a trade. It looks like the Suns are trying to save some money though by doing that Kurt Thomas trade, and I know they want KG. I think they're looking to make a move for him at the trade deadline.
