Does anybody know if Gary Payton has signed a contract yet? I know Zo has and I remember Payton saying that he was coming back for another season with the Heat but I haven't heard anything yet.
I'm just happy GP (and Zo) got a ring. They both deserved it so much. I'm suprised Gary wants to come back for another year, he'll be 38 soon, correct? I figured he would go out right after winning the championship. Either way, Miami needs to go after a young PG to take on the backup responsibilities. I would like to see Jay Williams get a contract with Miami and start playing normal minutes in 07-08 (assuming Gary is retired by then).

GP is one of my all time favourites and I hope he plays on until he turn 45 . I think even if he isn't playing well he would is a valuable addition to any team, his leadership and guidence for the young Pg's is invaluable IMO.
