I went to fill up over the weekend, and enjoyed paying almost $70.00 to fill up the tank. Yeah right. Driving an SUV in SoCal, isn't the most "green" alternative, but when you see 10 accidents a day, size matters. I did some research, because I've been considering buying a gas-friendly vehicle. Hybrids sound great, but they don't really benefit you much if you drive primarily on the freeway. LA is nothing, but freeways so that rules out hybrids. Also you have to sign a waiver if you buy a hybrid, because car dealers who sell them want to let you know they might not make the parts to support your car or have the mechanics to trained to fix your hybrid in the near future. Um yeah. Motorcycles get great gas mileage, but I don't trust myself on one, and I definitely don't trust soccer moms in SUVs swerving in and out of the freeway lanes, while they talk on their phone, yell at their kids, and try to put on makeup going 90MPH. Electric cars seem like a pain in the butt do deal with because you have to charge them everynight, and most stations don't cater to the electric pumps needed. I'm not sure AAA has road side assistance for these type of cars either. Finally I found a car I can appreciate. This car runs on gas, ethenol, and ALCOHOL. It's called the The Obvio 828, and will retail at only 14K. I included some pics of the car (yeah it looks pretty gay) and a site for more info on it. The Obvio
Do you actually plan to buy that car? I guess the only thing that ruins it, is the color. How about buying a car that takes up less gas....like the older version of the Nissan Sentra.
On Guam its currently @ $3.16 I drive two scions. A two door tC and a 4 door xA. Best investment I made. 30 bucks for each for a full tank when on empty and it lasts around 2 weeks.

I pay 40 dollars to fill my tank up and I drive a 98 Altima. I did not know to drive a year 98 car would be so expensive.
Yeah I drive a '98 Explorer and it costs around 55 to fill it up and I do it about once a week. Such an expensive habit considering thats about 220 bucks a month.
At my local grocery store, every $50 you spend, you get $.10 off per gallon. I currently have $1.40 off a gallon ready for my next fill up. My Caddilac takes about 50 to fill it, but it will only cost me about 20 with my discount. I geuss I'm lucky, because gas is only about 2.85 right now.
we drove to san diego today, and on our way back, my dad payed about 43 bucks for 12 gallons on a mini van
My dad pays around 23 dollars to fill up his 1996 Nissan Sentra. It's pretty good compared to how much other people pay for their gas.
I drive a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am and it takes around 30-32 to fill up. My mom drives an '04 Lincoln Navigator, and well... 100 bucks or more. It's at $2.75 here (regular unleaded).
