Personally, I'd like to keep Noah because in the long run I think he's the better player and complement to Gasol. I like the idea of having a young, athletic and high energy Ben Wallace replacement. Wallace/Gasol and Noah/Smith form two really well matched combos of players. And we resolve the logjam. I think I'd do the trade either way (with Thomas), but I'd offer them the inducement of taking back Stoudemire's contract to get them to settle for Tyrus. I think a fair deal might be something on the order of: Gasol, Stoudemire, Andre Brown and Casey Jacobsen for Thomas, Nocioni, 1st Rounder, Duhon, Khyrapa, Griffin The Grizz may well prefer Noah, but trading out Damon (next year he's under contract) and getting back Duhon would provide more savings for them. And for us, it gets us a more offensive-minded stopgap PG.
If I'm the Grizz I want Noah as a principle . I just can't see that they would have any interest in Tyrus Thomas with Swift and Warrick on the roster I would do Noah and Nocioni for Gasol
I don't see anyone above as a deal breaker to acquire Gasol ... including Luol Deng. This is the Bulls second chance at landing a legit inside presence.
Maybe this is a case of too little, too late? The big question is whether such a deal is going to put us on par with Detroit and Boston and give us a chance to go to the ECF and hopefully beyond. The next question is what is our situation after such a deal if it's not enough?

To answer your question ..yes that team beats Detroit and does beat Boston IMO Its embarassing that in the East the Pistons have everyone spooked into thinking that they're the real thing . They are a good vet team but they are not anything special . Miller can hold Billups ..Hinrich can stick Hamilton , Deng is better than Prince , Gasol is more than Rasheed, Wallace balances out McDyess and we have greater skill and energy with Thomas over Maxiel etc and we still have Gray and Joe Smith ... We would absolutely spank the Pistons . We can do it now with our current line up as flawed as what it is Boston has more individual talent but they have to ride their ageing big 3 through a grueling 82 game season and they have f'all depth. During the Laker game last night in Memphis, Gasol was booed every time he touched the ball. Apparently his comments in the summer about demanding a trade have resulted in a backlash from the fans. They even booed him when he scored 31 points in one of their recent games. The fans want him gone.
