Gasol sounds off

Pau Gasol continues to be the Lakers' most efficient scorer since returning to the active roster after an 11-game absence to start the season because of a strained right hamstring. He is averaging 17.6 points in 11 games while averaging

11.6 shots.
Gasol is the Lakers' second-leading scorer, but is third in average number of shots behind Bryant, who averages 21.7 shots, and Andrew Bynum (12). Ron Artest averages 10.7 shots and Derek Fisher averages 6.7, rounding out the starting unit.

That's not that great, as far as Gasol is concerned. He believes he could be scoring more if his teammates would pass him the ball more often. He said so after scoring 16 points on 6-for-11 shooting in Saturday's loss to the Jazz.

Actually, the 7-foot power forward/center offered a pointed complaint after a reporter asked him about matching his career high by grabbing 20 rebounds for the second consecutive game, including nine offensive boards against the Jazz.

"I don't get that many looks offensively, so I need to hit the boards to get some points, otherwise I only get, like, five shots a game," he said. "I'm trying to get some looks there and stay active and simply do what I can."

give him the damn ball....if he says he should get the ball...then he REALLY should get the ball....he doesnt usually say any of this unless its really bad
