Re: Gasol wants out if Grizzlies don't improve roster FIBA.com<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Memphis Grizzlies center Pau Gasol has warned team officials he will seek a move to a new team unless the front office adds quality players to the squad. Gasol, who is back in his home country of Spain resting ahead of this summer's EuroBasket, said on his website, www.paugasol.com: "If they are desperate to keep me, then they have to make the necessary effort to get players around me that can compete at the maximum level. "I want to be in a winning team that has ambition and fights for everything with stronger players."</div>LinkHe said this last summer, then he said he doesn't want to be traded. Then he reassured everyone in a press conference earlier this month he didn't want to be trade, and now this.We need to keep Gasol. He will fit great into the style Iavaroni wants to instill in the Grizzlies. I really don't want to see him go. Grizzlies front office, or lack there of, really needs to try to make some moves this summer.
Re: Gasol wants out if Grizzlies don't improve roster :no3:Well, what could they do outside of the draft? They have a high pick, they have young players like Gay and Warrick, and he should be satisfied by that, but he should also know that its really up to him for them to succeed. They have talent and Iavaroni can do some big things with these guys...

We also have a couple of valuable trade pieces in Mike Miller and Hakim Warrick. Most likely, the only way the Grizzlies will get an upgrade enough to satisfy Gasol will be to package off our #4 pick.
Re: Gasol wants out if Grizzlies don't improve roster True, they could probably spend some money on upgrading the point guard position, but IMO I think they should hold on to that #4 pick. With the big men in this year's draft, the Griz could have a nice front line in the East for seasons. I also agree that Mike Miller and Warrick are expendable as they can try to work in Gay more.

Re: Gasol wants out if Grizzlies don't improve roster F*ck why do I always think they are in the East...the damn colors I guess...Thanks
Re: Gasol wants out if Grizzlies don't improve roster Well, geographically, the Grizzlies should be in the East, and sometimes, I wish we were.
Re: Gasol wants out if Grizzlies don't improve roster We have more than just a little bit of cap space...we have cap space for a major free agent....This is why I want to take Yi...he become a star so we can trade Gasol. Hes not a likable player...people wonder why the people of memphis wont get into the Grizzlies...its because our star player is a pansy with zero loyalty. At this point man im just wanting him outve Memphis. Yeah he fits our style...but his negativity is pissing me off. I read that he and Kobe Bryant ran into each other and Bryant urged him to push for a trade to the Lakers. All I know is we arent trading him for Odom and/or Bynum. It really pathetic cause I know very few Griz fans who actually like Gasol...hes lost the majority of Griz fans...and that includes me.
