Gattuso Slams Domenech: You Talk Rubbish

QUOTE

Italy hardman Gennaro Gattuso has launched a scathing attack against controversial France boss Raymond Domenech.
Domenech is number one enemy in Italy after a number of derogatory remarks about Serie A and La Nazionale over the past decade.
The 55-year-old has slammed a number of high-profile Italian players, calling Christian Pannucci and Marco Materazzi 'cheats', saying that Fabio Cannavaro did not deserve to win the 2006 Ballon d'Or, while accusing the Italy Under 21's of buying a referee back in 2000.
These kind of remarks, Gattuso believes, are the only reason for the the current hostile rivalry between the Italian and French national teams.
“In France the only person who talks rubbish is Domenech. He is the only one pitting the two countries against each other,” said Gattuso
“The thing that really disappoints me is the fact all this rivalry is unnecessary. Yet a few words too many, said by a single person, created an ugly situation that I do not like.”
Domenech said earlier in the week that he would avoid any further controversy by not talking about Italy again until France met them at Euro 2008.
However he soonbroke this pledge by launching another attack against the corruption in theItalian game.
"I am not the one who arranged the games in Italy.
“They are trying to make me guilty but it is Juve, Milan, Lazio, the referees and a director who have been suspended, not me.
“I think that we have been too far into this affair to mask the real problems of Italian football, which are not mine,” Domenech said.
