IBF#5 Daniel Geale (24-1, 15 KOs) moved closer to a IBF middleweight title shot when he stopped IBF#3 Roman Karmazin (40-4-2, 26 KOs) in round twelve of IBF elimination contest at the Olympic Park Sports Center, Homebush, Sydney, NSW, Australia on Sunday. Geale outworked Karmazin in most of the rounds as he consistently connected with accurate combinations on his taller opponent. Karmazin suffered a cut above left eye due to accidental head clash in round six. Referee Pat Russell saved Karmazin from further punishment at 2.30 of round twelve and crowned Geale.
