ComingSoon.net spoke with producer Wyck Godfrey about the status of the adaptation, and he said: "We've got our script on and a director we're about to attach. We'll hopefully make that early next year for the summer of 2010."</div> Sweet! I thought this wad dead but apparently it's back on.
As long as they stay away from Vin Diesel as Fenix they will be okay, I keep hearing his name and I will puke if it happens. Dominic Purcell would be perfect.
Yeah he'd be pretty ideal, in my opinion. Haha watch Uwe Boll get announced as the director of this movie.

If Uwe Boll gets this movie, you might as well label it as pure shit. Everything he touches turns to trash, so I don't think it'd be any different if he got hold of Gears. If it's done right however, this movie could be pretty damn good. Haha, they should have The Rock as Fenix.

Gears of War has a legit chance to be a franchise if they put the right people behind it. Doom bombed because nobody played it anymore but people will still be playing GOW a few years from now.

There was no interest in watching a Doom movie almost a decade after the game was out. If these guys are smart, they should fastrack this movie instead of letting it sit in pre-production.
