Dream middleweight champion and fast-rising MMA star Gegard Mousasi, one of the few Armenian fighters who isn't a jackass, has decided to pursue a cruiserweight/light heavyweight boxing career. Ugh.

Some of these guys are insatiable competitors, which is a trait that defines most of the greatest athletes we've seen in sport. Michael Jordan was notoriously competitive in gambling, golf, and everything else he partook in. More power to Mousasi for wanting to chase another dream. Nobody wants to live with regret. But its my opinion that if you have the chance to be the best in the world at something you have to go for that first.

I guess he figures unless he signs with the UFC, there's no one else worth fighting?

I dunno, maybe it's because if he can make a name for himself in boxing he can make more cheddar too.

he'll be fed a few cans, waste a couple of years of his mma prime and then face a ranked boxer and get tooled.
