On the Johnstown Generals’ first play from scrimmage Friday night, Terrell Sims fumbled away the football. The Eastern Kentucky Drillers scored on the next play.

On the Generals’ second snap from scrimmage, Tavares Woodley’s pass was tipped by Jamell Mingo and intercepted by David Jones. The Drillers’ defensive back returned that pick 46 yards to the end zone.

Those turnovers meant that the Drillers had assembled a 14-point lead before most people would have been able to find Pikeville, Ky., on a map.

Just like the Generals’ last win this past Sunday, they overcame that deficit, this time taking home a 41-37 win over the Drillers (4-5).
