<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets announced today that they have waived forward George Lynch. "Coming to an agreement with George allows us to carry an extra player on the roster and allows him to pursue an opportunity with another team this season" said Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower. "We wish him the best of luck." Lynch played in 248 games with the Hornets from 2001-2005, averaging 4.3 points and 4.1 rebounds. He averaged 3.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 44 games in 2004-05 and had not appeared with the team during the 2005 preseason.</div> RealGM This is a day old, but no one posted it. Anyway, I like this move. The Hornets as we know, aren't going anywhere this season, so it'll be great for the young players to get some minutes. Also, that attitude of his will only disturb the young team's chemistry.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting bballer768484:</div><div class="quote_post">man i am sorry george lynch got waived, hes a solid player.</div> He didn't want to play in New Orleans and asked management for a trade. He's not a big loss, really. He just gives everyone else about 20 more minutes of playing time.
Like I said on the Knicks board <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I have not seen much of George Lynch since he became a Hornet so I don?t know how good a player he is these days, but when he was with Philadelphia he was a great team player, and put the team before himself. He could still make a contribution to any team looking to make the playoffs. Teams who I believe should look into acquiring him are Chicago, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. Though New York has shown interest they are loaded with small forward players, and no lock to contend or even make the playoffs.</div>
finally waived!! the hornets doesn't need a player like him with a bad attitude towards the team.... i hope he dont come to the knicks we dont need his a.. either dude should just retire sit on his couch and watch how much better the hornets can become in 2 years or 3
