<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LAS VEGAS ? Notes and thoughts from two weeks at the Sin City summer league... It?s way too early to think about giving up on Gerald Green, but his game needs tightening. One shouldn?t judge too much from summer league ? either positive or negative. But while Green did look better in practice here, there?s no getting around his 29.8 percent shooting (17-of-57) from the field in five games. With Paul Pierce [stats], Ray Allen and, the C?s hope, a healthy Tony Allen ahead of him, Green?s name has been raised in a number of trade discussions this offseason. That probably won?t change after his work here. There have been some quiet denials, but one source close to the situation insists the deal for Kevin Garnett was all set before agent Andy Miller said his client didn?t want to go to Boston. ??I don?t know why Danny (Ainge) didn?t just pull the trigger anyway,?? the source= said. ??There?s no way Kevin would opt out of that contract and leave $24 million on the table. No way.?? There is also the belief among some in Minnesota that Celtics [team stats] ownership got cold feet when the initial fan reaction toward dealing Al Jefferson [stats] was so negative. </div> Source: Boston Herald
Bad move, he will end up being a great player for them when Pierce is done. I think he'll pass Tony Allen.
You can send GG to Philly or ATL. They seem to be collecting swingmen like they are going out of fashion!!!
Green has not really progressed one bit since his rookie year. He looked lost in the SL, especially on defense. It's seeming more and more like he slipped all the way to the C's pick two years ago for a good reason.
