I know that Doc Rivers is a guy who doesn't give out the minutes, you have to earn them. But maybe im wrong but didnt Green play very week and show good development signs on both offense and more importantly, defense in the preseason> how does he go from playing alot in the preseason and being good, to playing 4 minutes a game after the first 4 games? Doc, play Green, hes the future and deserves the minutes. more so then TONY FREAKIN ALLEN!
I gotta agree with you man. I'd much rather see a guy like gerald with some offensive talent and sky high potential than TA turning the ball over ever time he touches it. what bugs me is how doc is always praising him off the court, yet gerald still gets the shaft.

Doc will say in interviews that Gerald has impressed the hell out of him, he's come a long way, he's going to be a very good player, he's made huge strides... yet he plays Scalabrine twice as much as him, same with Tony Allen. That has never made sense to me. Then Doc will do the reverse, almost. In training camp he was quoted many of times saying how Tony Allen has really separated himself from the other young players along with Gomes. Yet, he has regressed by the week. I don't get it. Gerald Green needs to get minutes. If I was coaching this team, I would find a way to get him 15+ minutes a night, and I would not play Tony Allen (or Scal) on most nights. Gerald has potential to be more than just a good scorer and regular on SportsCenter, he has the potential to be a star in this league. He will never become one if he doesn't see time on the floor.
