Can someone please explain to me why England's two best players Rooney and Gerrard never have great performances versus Chelsea. Since the new revolution at Chelsea, every game I see, Gerrard and Rooney seem to like like average players and they don't seem to get noticed much. Is it physiological or is it something else. ANYONE???????
Are you insane? Did you watch the game today?Gerrard was easily the best player on the pitch. Chelsea couldn't get near the Liverpool defence, because of Gerrard. Gerrard got man of the match.
Gerrard was average today against a much weakened team. He should have been sent off for a fore arm smash off the ball on SWP, but of course the game was at Anfield.
Gerrard & Rooney are not England's best players they are perhaps the most influential. For me, Gerrard is midly overated, whilst Rooney hasn't been playing his best recently, but i feel a goal or two is coming tommorow.
