<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Giants have reportedly released linebacker LaVar Arrington, kick and punt returner Chad Morton, and left tackle Luke Petitgout. If true, the only shocker here is Petitgout, as New York lacks a true left tackle behind him. Guy Whimper barely played last season and David Diehl is naturally a guard. Before rupturing his Achilles' in Week 7, Arrington signed a monster deal that included mostly unlikely to be earned incentives. Morton is coming off a torn ACL ahd could be finished as a pro. Feb. 12 - 4:13 pm et</div>I expected Arrington, not sure if anyone really cares about Morton, but Pettigout surprises me slightly. From a draft standpoint, wouldn't be surprised to see Levi Brown at #20

Rocky starts at first, of course, but that's true of all rookies.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Giants released LB Carlos Emmons.Emmons hasn't been healthy the past two years and missed four games in 2006. He turns 34 next season and it would be a surprise if Emmons gets any more than a deal for the veteran's minimum. He also may retire.</div>Speaking of returns, wouldnt mind seeing him brought into Philly as a situational/depth guy who can take the roll Shawn Barber filled this year, or possibly even split that role with him.
