San Francisco Giants right-hander Matt Cain, who was supposed to start Monday against the Pirates, is instead headed to the 15-day disabled list. Cain was scratched from his previous start last Tuesday after cutting his finger while making a sandwich. His DL stint is retroactive to April 24.
