<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ALBANY, N.Y. - The Giants have filled the roster spot created when they waived DT Nate Robinson yesterday by signing former Eagles DT Jeremy Clark.

S Craig Dahl, the former Giant who worked out for the team yesterday, did not appear ready to go through two-a-day practices after tearing his ACL in December. The team wanted to check in on Dahl and see where he was in his rehab. They will continue to monitor his progress and might bring him back at some point down the line.

The 6-2 ½ , 320-pound Clark signed with the Eagles in 2007 as an undrafted free agent and spent the entire season on the team's practice squad. Philly waived him on Sept. 2. A four-year starter for Alabama, he had 85 tackles, 4 ½ sacks and eight tackles for loss for the Crimson Tide.

The Giants will officially announce the signing of Clark later this afternoon.</div>

It'd been speculated that they'd be bringing back Dahl, but I guess they're happy with the depth at safety so far.
