Denver Post<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>San Antonio - Even though rookie guard Daniel Gibson was the Cleveland Cavaliers' best player offensively Thursday night in Game 1, it won't lead to a promotion. Gibson came off the bench to score a team-high 16 points (including 2-for-3 on 3-pointers) and had four assists in 28 minutes. The former University of Texas star fared much better than starting guard Larry Hughes, who is bothered by a foot injury and was limited to two points on 1-of-5 shooting. Despite the aforementioned statistics, Cleveland coach Mike Brown doesn't plan to put Gibson into the starting lineup in Game 2 on Sunday.</div>LinkI just don't get his logic...

We don't need to change the lineup, but we do however need to find a way to get Gibson some more minutes. We do need some defense on the court, and I think the best way to stop Tony Parker is to get Eric Snow out there on him and see what we can do. The main reason I think Hughes should start, is simply because we don't wanna change anything right now. We don't wanna give the Spurs more edge then they already have. Lets not end up like Dallas.

Didn't Dallas shake up their lineup? It just gave Golden State more to think they they had the series. It told the other team that they have to change their game-plan in order to beat you. If we do it, I know for a fact we will lose this series.

<span style="font-family:Arial">Daniel Gibson doesn't need to start in order to be effective, but his minutes should be increased. Gibson should be getting 35-37 minutes per game, instead of 25-28. He has led the Cavs in scoring for two straight games, while shooting an amazing percentage from the field. He has been a major steal, which I predicted.</span> :dribble:

It makes sense, Lebrons the fastest and the biggest and wont let Parker drive in as much.

Dallas was a 1 seed playing an 8 seed, so the idea of shaking up your lineup to match the other team's style of play (especially in the first game) didn't really make any sense. As I recall, we started off game 1 going small with Devean George, which didn't make much sense. Y'all wouldn't be doing anything that drastic. Giving Gibson more minutes or starting him wouldn't change your gameplan much, but would give you a player that's performing well offensively. It's also different, because, well, you are the underdog. If I were you, I would put in a guy who could go off like he did against Detroit. Otherwise, you might not have a chance.

I understand that, and I want Gibson to get more minutes then he has been getting. I still think Hughes should get the start, and should play a lot in the 1st quarter, and then bring in Boobie for the 2nd and here on out. Hughes can only play one half of basketball, gotta make the best of it... If we can.James on Parker isn't a bad idea, at all. I'd love to see how well it worked.
