<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Gilbert Arenas suffered a groin strain during Team USA's practice on Monday and will not play in the FIBA World Championships, USA Basketball announced.Arenas, of the Washington Wizards, strained his groin Monday morning during a practice outside of Seoul."We know Gilbert is really disappointed, he's done a great job. It's an unfortunate situation but he is not going to be able to continue on," managing director Jerry Colangelo said. "We're concerned because he has had a history regarding groin pulls. This is a precautionary move but it is important that he return home and get treatment."Arenas played in all four of the team's pre-tournament tune-up games. He started once, averaging 3.8 ppg., 2.3 rpg. and 11.0 minutes per game.</div>ESPN.com

No Billups OR Arenas for team USA now? Chris Paul gonna have to pick up the slack? Interesting situation for the lil' bugger.

Hopefully Gilbert will be better in time for the season start. We need everyone healthy this year to re-claim our name since the Bulls and Magic seem to be putting it up a notch. I'm hopeful this isn't the start of many groin pulls, however Gilbert is always back on his feet within a game or two, thsi move was just precautionary. I'm not afraid.

Hinrich will probably make the 12 man roster then. It's too bad, but things like this happen all the time in sports.

Now I'm beginning to worry. I mean now we've lost Marion, Arenas, and Billups do to injury. We sure lost a lot of talent at PG. Luckily I'm sure Paul will be fine starting. Now I'm beginning to worry. I mean now we've lost Marion, Arenas, and Billups do to injury. We sure lost a lot of talent at PG.
