<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">THE WASHINGTON TIMES Gilbert Arenas' severely strained abdomen is far worse than originally thought and is likely to keep the Washington Wizards point guard and leading scorer out "for at least a few weeks, maybe even longer," a source with knowledge of the situation said last night. Arenas, who leads the Wizards in both scoring (20.8) and assists (5.5), and is fourth in rebounding (5.1), was re-examined by team doctors yesterday. The Wizards placed Arenas on the injured list at the midpoint of their recent four-game trip. The Wizards had hoped to receive encouraging news following the examination, and there was some optimism that Arenas might be ready by Saturday, when he would be eligible to return against Milwaukee. </div> Source -------------------------------------------- This is a huge loss for the already struggling Wizards. They lose their high scorer and assist man for a few weeks. With Arenas and Stackhouse both out, this is a very average, if that, team. I know its still early, but do you think the Wizards still have a legitimate shot at the playoffs?
No I doubt they make the playoffs now that the Raptors just got stronger and Mcdyesse is coming back tomorow.
Huge loss. He has been very impressive leading the Wizards. I doubt they will make the playoffs. Will he be back in time for the Magic on Dec 10? They are likely our next win.
Arenas better pray they make the playoffs after that ridiculous garauntee at the start of the season.

This is kinda hard for the Wiz. They lost Stackhouse and now Arenas who's their only legitimate help to make the play-offs. It's also hard for fantasy owners like me as well.

Wow thats a big blow for the Wizards, although they have a few tough games coming up on the road which im sure they would have lost anyway with or without Arenas.
argh this is a huge loss for us This is JUAN'S TIME TO PROVE HIMSELF...wwe need him desperatly to step up.
