Right now? Paul Pierce, I just think he's a more well rounded player...but for future it's definatly Arenas.

Let's do alittle comparison.Scoring: slight edge to Arenasrebounding: Paul Piercepassing: about evenreliablility (ends of games): evenconsistency: BIG edge to Pierce.defense: about even. hard to compare at different positions.Pierce shoots better from the field, and he's much more well-rounded, but what i think really gives him the edge is his consistency. He comes to play every night; Arenas shows up for half of his games. Pierce plays with so much intense desire, he's hard to compete with. When he gets it going, he's pretty much unstoppable (as are other star wing players). Paul Pierce plays with more heart. I might be a little biased, but my vote goes to Paul.
reliablility (ends of games): evenWHAT??? do you even watch c's games??? pierce is probably the best 4th quarter player in the league. I really dont see how you could make that point.
Agreed, Gilbert has had his moments at the ends of games, but Pierce seems to lead the league in points per foruth quarter year in and year out.
this isn't even close, Arenas has been good for what...2 seasons? I like Arenas a lot, I definately think he's going to be a great player for many years, he's also got a great attitude, did anyone hear about how he framed the invitation letter he got to try out for USA Basketball from Jerry Colangelo? Arenas is good, but C'mon Pierce is a 5-Time All-Star, so much more well rounded and consistent. Guy thrives under pressure and dogmatist you hit it on the head, when he gets going you cannot stop him. As we saw the other night when he dropped 50 points.
i'd rather have no one on my team than these two guys. arenas shoots too much and so does pierce. i hate paul pierce he's a dirtbag. but if i had to pick it would be arenas.

no actually i'm serious. he's having a career year. too bad his team sucks and can't win. he is a dirtbag. he needs his boy antoine or else he can't win. antoine sucks too. he shoots like 25-30 shots a game. he's nothing special in my book. yea he's made the all-star team and he got barely any time cuz he sucks. he's a nobody compared to the elite players.

A loss. It's dumb to compare Paul Pierce, who is basically a one-man show in Boston because Wally simply isnt getting it done, to Arenas, who has Jamison and Butler who can light it up on any given night. Pierce is one of the toughest players in the league, guy got stabbed in his chest, back, and neck and was playing basketball two weeks later... How about your Knicks? how many games has your boy Stephon won? Marbury is probably the biggest morron in the NBA, could have had probably a dynasty in Minnesota but was too much of a little <Censored> to not accept less money than Kevin Garnett. Marbury proclaimed himself the "best point guard in the NBA" two years ago and he's on one of the worst teams in the league and has proven in New Jersey, Phoenix, and NY he isn't a leader or main option.
