I know Manu Ginobili for the most part is a fan favorite, but with the current postion San Antonio is in, is Ginobili actually worth resigning? I'd say signing him would be the right thing to do if they can get him for a good price. Perhaps he wants that pay day though, and perhaps he'd rather play somewhere as a starter where he isn't sharing minutes with Turkoglu. If The Spurs don't resign Ginobili they'll have plenty of cap room. There's an abundance of quality free agents on the market this off season, should they be more focused on bringing in another star along side Duncan?
No question, he "has" to be resigned. He is a key Spur and one of the big reasons they win. He brings defense with Bowen and Duncan, combine this with Nesterovic's size for true defense, they're the top partly because of him. The top defensive team that is. He steals so well and is a scoring threat, he passes well and is one fast player. In addition to this he's still young, so he can only get better, same goes for Parker. If Parker becomes consistent like him, they'll be an even scarier team. He's just so good at steals.
Yes they definitely should resign him. He's very fun to watch. The only reason I wouldn't resign himwould be so that he could go to the Bulls.
Of course he must be resigned!! He is a very good player on both ends and is a legit sidekick for Tim Duncan.
Yes he needs to be resigned..Manu has done some great things to help this team this season AND last season to help them win that championship....He is a great player..Vet crafty...Very quick and a spot on passer..He is also FEARLESS..This guy has a great attitude..We need to resign him!
This cannot be a serious question. There is absolutely NO DOUBT that SA needs to re-sign him , and there is also no doubt that the spurs will re-sign him. They have been saving money for him since this past summer , the only way that SA doesnt sign him is if they can somehow land Kobe...otherwise Manu aint going anywhere. The spurs should also focus on re-signing Turk.Hes a great role player , he brings outside shooting , versatility , and some tough defense. I would be really dissapointed if the spurs didnt keep Turk.
This is an obvious "YES THEY SHOULD RESIGN HIM" but I see where X3 is coming from. The Spurs will have like $9+ million (if they let Horry go) to sign free agents (depending on how much the cap is set at) as long as Manu doesn't require too much, they should definately resign him... though they could possible get some good free agents, and I think that's what X3 is touching on. Should they sign Manu or use the cap space to sign a few players who can help... I think with exceptions and all, they could sign Manu and still get a scoring forward... losing Stephen Jackson wasn't good (especially to Atlanta for less than a million this year, why couldn't San Antonio just sign him for $1,000,000 this year?) so getting a Keon Clark or Eric Williams would nice, though I think its possible for the Spurs to keep Manu, and still have enough to sign a player like them. I'd also have to say the only reason I'd want the Spurs to not sign Ginobili is so the Suns have a shot
He def. has to be resigned, they are crazy if they let him go..he brings everything to the table, scoring, passing and others..the fans love him, he hits big shots and isnt afraid to take the big shot.

the spurs have to have to have him on the team for as long as they can. as long as the spurs have duncan and parker they also need to have manu on the team to be a playmaker. Also the west cant afford to lose another great guard to the east. there is only half a dozen great guards in the west.

His hustle and athleticism are very important to their running game and halfcourt sets...he is still very wild and unpredictable, but plays the passing lanes well and is a talented penetrator and finisher in the open court...he has to be resigned, he's SA's only player with speed and athleticism on both sides of the ball...
