Olivier Giroud has apologized publicly (via Twitter) for recent infidelity in his marriage. Giroud directed his apology towards his wife, his team mates, and club fans just before kick-off between Arsenal and Liverpool in the FA Cup Saturday. Compromising photographs of Giroud had been circulating this week causing a distraction for the French striker. Giroud was rested this weekend and was replaced by recently activated striker Yaya Sanogo in Saturday's 2-1 cup tie victory against Liverpool. Arsenal will face Everton in the quarter-finals.
