C'mon everyone, say it with me.

Acie Law, the man who would be the steal of the 2007 NBA draft.

No way, not the steal. He was good but not great, The steal is gunna be a guy like Afflalo IMO. or someone like Rudy Fernandez when enters the draft one day. But Acie is diffently not a steal. Ron Lewis, there is a steal.

You can't talk steals now until after they get drafted. For all we know something could happen to Acie Law that gets him drafted in the 2nd round and he does become the biggest steal in the draft. You can't really talk steals/busts until after people get drafted and after they play a couple of seasons, you can talk sleepers.

The thing that I like about Acie Law IV is his quickness. Outside of Mike Conley and Ty Lawson, nobody was quicker with the ball in the NCAA last season. He's a bit shoot-first minded, but he's working hard on becoming more of a pure point guard for his rookie season. In the #14-20 range, he would be a great value pick.

Does anyone else see shades of T.J. Ford in him?

I dont think i see too much of TJ Ford in him, he's a much better shooter and less of a passer than TJ Ford.

Plus Law drives a bit more then TJ, and I wouldn't trust Law with the last shot, like i do TJ.

Thats crazy IMO. From what I've seen Acie Law has hit the most clutch shots of anyone in the country. Only time I can remember him missing is one key layup in the tourney but other than that the guy hits crazy 3's in the clutch with regularity.

Agree with your assessment except the TJ Ford comparison. IMO he'll be a great value pick at 14-20, which is where he'll probably go.

My comparison would be a taller Mo Williams (of this year). They're both very quick with the ball, can penetrate and shoot very well, clutch, mediocre defenders. Although Law is more of a scoring minded PG, he is more than capable of running a team and finding the open man.

I actually see him as more of a pre-Detroit Chauncey Billups.
