I don't suppose any of you are willing to give me credit to what I said about Bledsoe being washed up or having a habit of holding onto the ball too long, or taking too many hits, (did he fumble in that game or throw an INT?)

I did hear he was sacked 3 times, and only went 4/8 for 27 or 28 yards.

I agree I think he is washed up but I think he'll put up better numbers than Losman based on he is more experience but I think that signing by the Cowboys is overrated.

Did you watch the game and understand what Parcells did with the offense and defense?!?!? You may or may not be right, and I'm not going to stand here and say you are wrong. But this preseason game should have no bearing on the opinion.

I'll come back and explain when I have some more time. But Parcells intended to do a couple things in this first game. If you know Parcells, he does it just about every year for a purpose. How many points did Dallas score in their first preseason game last year? Why did Dallas not play more 2-TE sets when Arizona blitzed? Why did Dallas stay in a 3-4 when Arizona went to a 4-receiver set. Come on, there is more to preseason that winning a meaningless game. Do some research before you annoint Tony Romo as the next Troy Aikman.

Cowboy do you think any of the two QBs behind Bledsoe are the future of Dallas? Henson has showed me nothing but he hasn't really had much of chance, Romo appears to be the better overall QB but he lacks Hensons Rifle of an arm. What direction do you think they're heading with these two?

The Cowboys' offensive line needs time to gel, too... Rivera's there now. They're switching people around. One of the goals of the 'Boys' offseason was to solidify the line. It's not going to happen overnight...

You may be right about Bledsoe not being very mobile. But Parcells wouldn't bring him in if he didn't think the line could protect him.

Like we've all said 1000 times...pre-season games mean NOTHING!

Its still early, but so far, there is no indications to say that either Romo or Henson are the future for Dallas. Romo obviously doesn't have the pedigree and he doesn't have the size. Others stars don't either, but Romo isn't a star. He does have some potential, but at this point, I can't see past being a very good 2nd QB that could take over for a few games. Henson is so erratic and inconsistent he reminds me of our last two baseball players, Carter and Hutchinson. He probably has more upside than Romo, but he hasn't shown it yet. At this point, I am more intrigued with Romo.

The line was pressed to cover the blitz with only 5 players...it was a test. Receivers could run few patterns. Witten came off the field at times to take away the security blanket. Bledsoe begged to go deep to back off the corners, but Bill said not today. It was an interesting game to watch.

Bledsoe had an MRI on his foot yesterday morning. He woke up with it, from what I understand. They dont know when it happened or how. He had purple bruising and swelling. They were afraid he had broken bones, but the MRI showed no damage. He was back on the field that afternoon. He had been practicing for a couple of hours that afternoon when this broke, and from what I understand no one noticed anything. Parcells said nothing in the 1:30 PC, so I assume its OK.

    Heard this from another place....

Heheh I though Quincy had quite a bit of potential before they released him, I sure hope he sticks somewhere, Cleavland may look into him even.

When Quincy was cut the Cowboys went down hill from there. [IMG]
