...Agreed, Epstein was all in while trying to help the Cubs finally win another WS that year and was desperate to acquire a shut down closer like Chapman...and the only reason Chapman was on the trading block along with Miller was due to the bad position the Yanx were in at the time because of Cashman's incompetence while poorly constructing the Yanx' roster for so many years. ...and since both Miller and Chapman would both become FAs at the end of that season it was a no brainer for Cashman to say yes to the trade of Chapman for Gleyber Torres.
