Big trees are disappearing from the face of the planet. Scientists brought up more signs showing that climate change and global warming are serial killers, and their victims, are also trees.

A research published in the in the publication, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, has been studying the changes happening in among large trees, species of 2 feet in diameter or more. The notes followed studies of the trees from 1920 to 1930 and the first ten years of this century.

The research included all California, and arrive to the conclusion that all the regions have suffered serious decline in the number of trees. Up to 75% of the big trees had died in southern regions of the state. The killer of the trees is suspected to be the climate change and global warming, as bigger trees are more sensitive to drought than the smaller ones. One of the other causes would be the human activities of cutting down the trees.
