GM is recalling thousands of Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks due to a possible software issue that affects steering. The 2014 Chevrolet Silvarado LD and the GMC Sierra LD may have a software problem which causes them to lose electric steering assistance for about one second followed by a sudden return of the assistance, according to a document from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
