The Gonzalo Higuaín transfer saga is about to come to an end as multiple outlets are reporting that he's undergoing his final medical in London and that terms with the player and The Whites have been agreed to. Higuaín represents Arsenal's biggest transfer purchase of all time at an estimated £23M, considerably more than what Arsene Wenger paid for famous flop Andrey Arshavin (£16M) a few seasons ago.

In other transfer news, Arsenal have secured the signature of French starlet Yaya Sanogo. The 20-year old striker from L2 side Auxerre has a difficult history of injury but seems to possess remarkable talent for his age, at one point scoring seven goals in two games last season. Sanogo seems to be the prototypical Wenger signing in that regard.

Arsenal are still in the market for players. In recent weeks they have been repeatedly linked to Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar, Welsh defender Ashley Williams, Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini, and French midfielders Clement Grenier and Maxime Gonalons.
