The UFC has purchased the fight libraries of eight different organizations including King of the Cage and Cage Rage (UK) to add to the FP library. If you want to check out early fights in the careers of the likes of Anderson Silva (Cage Rage), Diego Sanchez (KOTC), Georges St-Pierre (TKO), and others, this is the place to look (or, you know, on YouTube, until the UFC takes it down). The bad news is that FP subscribers in Canada will now find preliminary bouts blacked-out. To watch you must be a Sportsnet subscriber.
If you haven't watched old Pancrase before it is a bit strange. They allowed open-handed striking. The best example of a Pancrase fight might be the one between Bas Rutten and Frank Shamrock in '96.
Fight Pass giveth, Fight Pass taketh away. Canadian FP subscribers will not be able to watch most live content anymore thanks to the new deal the UFC has inked with TSN. Live FP content will be blacked-out and available on-demand afterward. So unless you really love that fight library it looks like FP in Canada is a bust.
