    What're your go-to summer songs?

    I'm grilling for Memorial Day tomorrow and putting together a summer playlist, and I always forget some great ones. Any suggestions?

    Not that all good summer songs have "summer" in the title or chorus, but a lot of the classics do -

    In the Summertime - Mungo Jerry
    Hot Fun in the Summertime - Sly and the Family Stone
    Summertime - Both Dead Prez and DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince
    Doin' Time (Summertime) - Sublime
    Summer - War
    All Summer Long - Beach Boys

    Summer Breeze - Seals and Crofts

    Outside of those, I'm throwing on some of the following -

    Classic track. I think a good summer song's gotta be pretty chill though, more laid back, accessible, and positive. When it comes to summer songs, I think Pac's "I Get Around" is more laid back. Definitely throwing that one on the playlist...

    Skip over the first post? Had that on my initial playlist man... definite summer classic...

    So many great songs from that era, it's almost a struggle to put modern songs on a summer playlist. One that I had forgotten about until now is B.J. Thomas, "Hooked on a Feeling," -
