sadly there is no denying the fact that the timbers kill the beavers (except MAYBE thursdays?) in attendance. just wish they had been able to figure out a stadium for them that wasn't a cavern like pge. such a horrible site for AAA baseball.

I have been to one game of the Beavers - and it was a waste of time and money.

Portland--regardless of what's here currently--is a major league town. The viewing numbers for MLB as well as Mariner ticket purchases in the Portland Metro Area demonstrates we'd support a major league team. A minor league team? Not so much.

I always here that the lack of corporate support is the biggest factor as to why Portland hasn't landed an MLB franchise. What do you think?

God damn, I would love a freakin' MLB baseball team in Portland :sigh:

It's not dead but it'll be a while. I was hoping the city would be able to steal away the D-Rays, an up-and-coming team.

I was under the impression that AAA ball kind of thrives in smaller communities, suburbs, etc....focus on family outings and strange BBQ and local food oddities.
