This season, it's the same story line for him with the Magic. I'm a power forward, but I've got to go out there and hold my own at the '3' [small forward]," Gooden said. "It's the best for the team right now. Doc [Rivers] feels he can cause more mismatches with me at the 3.</div> Gooden belongs at PF and that is his natural position. You just cant change that. Doc will realize he made a mistake. Gooden is the future all-star, not Howard. Sometimes I wonder why the Magic even signed Howard because Gooden can sure get the job done. If the organization was thinking clearly they would have had a solid center as their top priority.
I agree completely. You beat me to posting this article. Play Gooden at PF and Howard at SF. We should have gone after Kandiman stronger than Howard this past offseason. Gooden will be an allstar, if he gets the touches he needs.
Gooden should be at the 4 especially now after the slow start Orlando are a nothing more then a mpssible number 8 seed so they need to give up and comers like Gooden Playing time in their best positions. Howard should be moved for a scoring SF or SG so that T - Mac has some more help. Or a center problem is the league does not have many of these. Perhaps Howard for K.Cato??
