<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The hype was all about Shaq?s debut in Miami, but the story was Dwyane Wade. Wade filled up the basket and the boxscore, going for a game-high 28 points in the Heat?s 92-86 win over the Cavaliers on Thursday night, pushing their record to 2-0. The Cavaliers (0-2) hung tough throughout the first-half, but midway through the third quarter a combination of bad shot selection, and too much Dwayne Wade and Shaq Daddy spelled doom for our Wine and Gold warriors. All of a sudden a three-point deficit turned into eleven, and the Cavaliers spent the rest of the night playing desperate. Drew Gooden bounced back from an anemic opener to lead Cleveland with 24 points and 11 boards. LeBron James, Wade?s Olympic teammate, shredded the Heat?s defense for 21 points, eight assists and six boards. </div> Gooden Shines In Defeat
From what I saw, Gooden did not play well late in the game. He shot two ill-advised 3 pointers when the Cavs were within reach. He might have cost them the game. But otherwise, he had a strong game on the board and in the paint.
From what I heard, he looked really good. Were going to need him if we want to get to the playoffs this year... He had to of done better than how he played the game before.
Drew played very well coming off a poor performance against the Pacers. He still has to work on his D and shot selection. He did a good job of finishing and getting to the line. And he did a good job grabbing rebounds.
His defense sucked and a good deal of his points were gimmes if I remember correctly. He also took 3 bad three pointers. Personally, I think Anderson looked better in his short time in the game.
gooden had to shoot the 3 with the clock winding down, they swung it over to him. he had no choice. gooden played pretty well statwise compared to his 4 pt 6 rbnd (i think) effort earlier. gooden has a lot of talent, hopefully this is the year he breaks through..
