Chiesa was the assistant coach to Jerry Sloan in Utah for many years and was brougth in by the Nets to help improve Lawrence Frank's staff. He quit the team prior to the start of the season, however because he "wanted to spend more time with his family". Well, now it appears he has decided to join Seattle's staff as an assistant. I was very dissapointed to see him leave the Nets because I thought he would bring alot of experience to our team and make a difference on both ends of the court after learning under such a highly respected head coach for many years. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Sonics added a fourth assistant to their staff Wednesday, naming longtime Utah Jazz assistant Gordon Chisea to complete Bob Hill's crew Wednesday. Chisea was on Jerry Sloan's staff at Utah for 16 years until the 2004-05 season. He spent a portion of last season with the New Jersey Nets. Chisea joined Hill and assistants Ralph Lewis and Detlef Schrempf and president Wally Walker at the NBA's pre-draft camp. "We wanted to bring somebody with some experience and Gordy and I have been friends for a long, long time," Hill said. "With the 16 years he spent with the Utah Jazz, he knows the (Western Conference). I just think he's going to be able to help everything. I'm thrilled."</div>
