I also heard that Utah's Keon Clark was sent to the Suns for googs today. But Deshawn Stevenson seem to be playing pretty solid after Matt harping went down for the season. He might be a solid pick up for the magic. But this is more than likely just a move for salary cap reasons. EDIT: MY Fault I just seen that this info was posted in another forum already
I like this trade for Utah. I have always be sort of a DSteve hater. Plus Giricek can hit some pull ups 3s and is a nice perimeter shooter which the Jazz need. I don;t see Stevenson flourishing in Orlando
chad ford said he didn't know what the magic were thinking doing this deal. I haven't seen much of deshawn. Is he a good defender? I know he can score.
I'm still mixed on this deal. I would've rather kept Giricek if all we were getting was Stevenson. Now if he was in a package deal for say, Dampier, then I'd be for it. Stevenson is pretty good. He's still only 22.

Just another bad deal for the Magics...there main need is a Big Man such as Dampier but they let that slip away...this present deal does nothing for the them.

Sure, it may not be what the Magic needed, but I like the trade from the Magic's perspective. Stevenson is young and still has a lot to learn, it will come out well if Orlando knows how to develop him. Right now, pretty much all he brings to the table is scoring, which could be useful for T-Mac to have another guy to go to.

WEll, now Tmac won't be as stressed, DeShawn can score. Plus Gordan didn't come up big yet this year.
My fault.. Don't ask me where i got the impression or information where he was a Forward.. I usually look something up before I post it, but I was in a hurry.. Yeah, I don't mind having him then.. If he can provide scoring for when McGrady sits out for a little bit... Its actually a big help..
PLus I read he's known for his defensive toughness. SOmething we obviously need. I'm starting to like this deal more and more.
