<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">[IMGR]http://www.nba.com/media/bulls/gordon2_060510.jpg[/IMGR]As nice as it is to start the summer and be able to relax, I wish we were still playing right now. Next year at this time, I hope that we will be. Losing our series with the Heat was tough. We thought we had a really good chance of winning it, especially after we evened things up at 2-2. We knew that we allowed them to score way too many first half points during the first two games, but we still stayed with them. We knew our defense had to improve, and it did just that during our wins in Chicago. We did exactly what we wanted to do in the two games at home in terms of defense, and we won them both.

Then, the fifth game in Miami, it seemed like everything was laid out for us to go out and get a victory. Shaq was in foul trouble, D-Wade was hurt for a stretch and had to leave the game, and we were pretty much playing against their role players. Unfortunately, we didn?t get going offensively like we needed to and that?s what hurt us the most. Game Five was a very winnable game for us and losing that is probably what hurt us the most in the series. In Game Six, we just couldn?t stop the big fella, who came out with 30 points and 20 rebounds. That was Shaq at his best, and when he?s playing like that, you know it?s going to be a long night.

We let Miami get too many easy baskets. I felt that for most of the series, we did a pretty good job on D-Wade and making him take tough shots. Where we got in trouble was when they got second chance rebounds around the hoop, and they were able to get going in transition. In the end, we just didn?t have enough gas in our tank and we lost to a very good team.

We?re proud that we won the two games at home and made it a series. It did a lot for our confidence?not just for the series, but for the future as well. The Heat are a two seed and we went out and beat them twice in a row. That?s an accomplishment in itself. They weren?t fluke wins, and in all of the losses, we were in those games. Our confidence as players is high and we feel we?re only a few guys away as a team from getting out of that first round and being a serious contender in the Eastern Conference.</div>

Hopefully they will be playing next season at this time. Hopefully Ben gets better over the summer and stays more consistent along with Kirk Hinrich next season.
