The Bobcats, though, won't touch him.

The Magic are permitted to protect eight players from their current roster of 10 under contract before the Bobcats begin building their team through an expansion draft.

There is a good chance the Bobcats, though, won't bother taking a Magic player, deciding the pickings are more attractive elsewhere.</div>

Hmm. Gaines or Hill. Bobcats should definetely pass on both of them. Hill would be a good role model for the younger players and they might as well give him a try for 1 year, if it still screws up, then he will opt out of the contract.

They wont take him, he is old and is way too much money, Stackhouse would be the better fit if they were looking for a SF with age.

They wont take anyone from the magic unless its McGrady, Gooden, or possibly Bogans and Stevenson.... If those guys are protected, i dont think the Bobcats will even take a look at our players..

I wish we could dismiss everybody except Hill , T-Mac , Gooden ,Bogans , Stevenson and Backup T-Lue and trade the others.

Stevenson and Bogans in SF , Hill and T-Lue in PG , T-Mac and Stevenson or Lue in SG..C is free agency Blount and Okafor in draft and 2nd rounder PF or those big guys from europe in the 2nd round to backup blount and play okafor in PF even tough I think he should be a starter , well at least his second season I guess.

Good, maybe the Bobcats will take him. It's unlikely, but I can dream.

Let's say IF the Magic gets rid of Hill's contract. Who do you think they'll TRY to sign?

There isn't much out in the free agency pool this year. Not only that, the Hawks have so much cap space that they'll probably get most of the really good players this summer easily.

Who in the world would want to play for the Hawks? Just cause you $$ doesn't mean you'll get everyone.

Stephen Jackson wanted to , to demonstrate to other teams (cough spurs cough) what he could do , plus they have a high draft pick and a lot of cap room if you re-sign the good players and add a good free agent and pick...*cough Blount Cough* ... or you also have those Stars that want to have their own team or be the 1st option *cough Kobe and Franchise Cough*

Kenyon Martin is also a FA , I think he is staying with the Nets .. There are few others but not too many and most will re-sign with thier current team.

Well, the second sentence in the article should sum up everyones concerns with Grant. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Bobcats, though, won't touch him.</div>
We're obviously stuck with Grant, and IF he comes back healthy, he better adjust to a different role.

My dad is a doctor, and I've been able to ask around regarding doctors' opinions of Hill. Half of them said he should be lucky to ever play the game of basketball, especially since he has screws holding his ankle together. Scary thought.

If he were to come back and play a healthy season, he would come off the bench. I don't care how good he used to be, he's missed too much already. We will never see the same Grant Hill.

Very true, however Orlando has lost some stock as well. Our fan base has gone down the pipes, and we are in dyer need for a new arena. NBA players also keep night life in mind, and downtown Orlando just plain sucks after a while. Atlanta would appeal more to the NBA players for that reason alone.

Yea, the Magic need a new arena but I don't t hink the tax dollars should pay for it. I've alwyas been and will be against that for any stadium.

These millionaires want a stadium then pay it for yourself.

There are far more important things our tax dollars should go to then a stadium. Especially for a team that nobody cares about anymore.

Buy yea, I still love the Magic =)
