Culpepper looks awesome, Moss was effective when called upon, all the receivers got into the game, and the defense did ok especially with Ken Irvin out.

What a great way to start the season.

i loved the way the eagles played as well... i thought it was a great game.... but at the end i got pretty scared because our defense was starting to break down, but right now im very satisfied w/ our inside the 20 Defense....

Next week should be interesting. Our secondary is really suffering from injuries, and we lost two players at the end of the game, both Moe Williams and Kleinsasser.

This game will have a lot of story lines:
    T.O. vs Moss
    Culpepper vs McNabb
    Monday Night Football
    Battle of the Secondaries

I cannot wait for next Monday...it should be a great one.

While the Vikings had some incredible good hits, they played a lot worse than the 17 points they gave up. The Cowboys defense looked even worse and actually looked somewhat confused...like they were playing a scheme they had never played before. They did a very good job of controlling Moss I thought. He scored twice, but the two amounted to about 5 yards. He worked the game as the threat, which is effective too though.

The Vikings offense looked incredibly well. Onterrio Smith did a good job of being patient and waiting for things to develop. I was surprised with his maturity in that aspect. The local radio stations commended Culpepper on how in-control of the game he was, but I give more credit to the Vikings O-line. It is easy to stand back there and pick apart the defense when you have all day to throw. The Cowboys had no pass rush whatsoever from their front four. When Dallas blitzed LBs or Safeties, the Vikings O-line did a good job of keeping one lane open so Culpepper could take off running. That was the difference in my opinion. Any way you slice it, the Vikings offense looked really good and will be even better when Bennett is another option.

The Dallas offense also looked good. Vinny gets credit the same as Culpepper. He had way too much time to find a receiver too. Julius Jones not dressing really hurt, although Rashard Lee looked pretty good. As usual, it was us defeating ourselves....3 turnovers and stupid penalties took us out of the game.

We had fun regardless besides the fact that our Vikings fan forced us to listen to Vikings post-game half the way home.

    HA HA! That's great!

The Vikings D looked terrible, especially the passing defense. But, we kind of expected that being that we have lost almost every starter except for Winfield. Rushen Jones even got injured (although Tice believes it is an ego injury after the TD by Glenn).

Oh, and how about that hit that sent Johnson into a full out flip? That was something else.

I agree, I was impressed with the Dallas offense, and they really could have had 7-10 more points. Still think the Vikes win though [IMG]

Oh, you know the Vikes could have put up 40+ if they wanted to. The last drive was a a time consumption drive, nothing else.

I was glad to see that we actually finished a team off instead of moving to a prevent defense in the 3rd quarter like we would do last year.

Minnesota looks like they're set to have an incredible season. I'm not sure the defense got any better, but Monday night should be interesting. I don't think Philly's defense is anything special, so dare I say 41-38 Vikings?

Both Minny and Philly looked like wrecking balls on Sunday! I expect a major shootout next Monday... I'm thinking 31-27 Eagles.

Our defense is not any better, at least not in the secondary. It would be if we could stay healthy, but even Rushen Jones (who???) had to sit out due to injury.

I thought that Denver started off on the right foot.
